The Beat Rhymers Curriculum is a comprehensive 25-lesson program that uses emceeing, rapping, poetry, songwriting, and performance as powerful tools for self-expression and community building.
This curriculum empowers students to:
Build confidence
Strengthen collaboration and public speaking skills
Forge positive, creative friendships
And have fun doing it!
By the end of the semester, students will be able to:
Understand and apply the fundamentals of music and songwriting—rhyme, tempo, song structure, literary devices, and more
Write and perform original music that reflects their interests and lived experiences
Collaborate as a group to create and present a full-length showcase of solo and group pieces
Envision new possibilities for their future through music and art
